In order to strengthen public libraries’ capacity in providing social work informed library services for their communities, the New Jersey State Library has developed a Social Work Informed Library Services in New Jersey (SWILIBS-NJ) Project that will promote connection and collaboration between social work student interns and public libraries in New Jersey. Working with social work students conducting their practicum placements in public libraries has gained enormous attention and popularity. The incorporation of social-work-informed library services has become a powerful movement in the United States.
